Remedial Massage

A Remedial Therapist is a qualified and experienced practitioner who is able to assess and treat muscles and ligaments after injury, working towards rehabilitation and pain management whilst also preventing further injury.

The purpose of remedial massage is to bring the body's muscles, soft tissue, tone and tension back into balance by increasing the flow of blood and lymph - specifically in area's that are injured, blocked, damaged or have scar tissue.

Remedial Therapists have a strong understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the body and consider each person's health needs when undertaking assessment and treatment.

Lymphatic Massage

Lymphatic Massage which is also known as Lymphatic Drainage is a type of massage performed by trained Remedial Therapists which targets and stimulates the lymph nodes and the circulation of lymph fluid around your body which encourages the body to move waste away from the body's tissue.

Conditions that may benefits from Lymphatic Massage

  • Those experiencing fluid retention and swollen limbs including pre or post surgery

  • Lymphoedema
